# Chat with any agent directly in Slack

Create or link a Slack channel from an agent’s page, then open it, share it, and introduce the agent to the team.

## Create or link a Slack channel from an agent’s page, then open it, share it, and introduce the agent to the team.

An agent has a page in SuperOrgs. It can also have a Slack channel connected from that page.

Chat with any agent directly in Slack is available now. You can create a Slack channel for an agent from its page. You can also link a channel the agent already has.

Once the channel is connected, it appears in the agent header. Open it in Slack. Copy its link. Or unlink it when the association needs to change.

## Start from the agent page

The Slack control sits in the agent header.

It changes with the connection state:

- **Connect Slack** appears when your organization has no Slack workspace connected.
- **Add channel** appears when Slack is connected and the agent does not have a channel.
- The connected **#channel** appears after a channel is set, along with actions to open it in Slack, copy its link, or unlink it.

## Create a channel for the agent

Choose **Create** to make a public Slack channel for the agent. SuperOrgs names the channel with an `agent-` prefix followed by the agent’s name as a channel slug.

SuperOrgs sets the channel description. It invites the agent owner and followers whose accounts match people in Slack. It also posts an introductory agent card in the new channel.

The card shows the agent’s role, stage, and owner. It includes links to open the agent in SuperOrgs and see its activity.

The channel starts with the agent’s identity and direct routes back to its page and activity.

## Link the channel the agent already has

Choose **Link** when the agent already has a Slack channel.

Search the channels the SuperOrgs app can see. Each result is marked when a pod or another agent already holds that channel. Select the channel you want to associate with the agent.

SuperOrgs posts the same introductory agent card in the linked channel. Members can see the agent’s role, stage, and owner. They can open the agent or see its activity from the card.

## Keep the agent and its room connected

After setup, the agent page names its Slack channel. The Slack channel contains a card that names the agent.

From the agent header, you can open the channel or copy its link. From the card in Slack, channel members can open the agent or see its activity in SuperOrgs.

If the association changes, unlink the channel from the agent header. Then add or link the appropriate channel.

## Available now

Chat with any agent directly in Slack shipped to production in SuperOrgs v1.33.0 on September 28, 2026. It is available to SuperOrgs customers who manage agents and use Slack with their teams.

Open an agent in SuperOrgs. Select **Add channel** to create its Slack channel or link the one it already has.
